To Create a Repository

  1. Select the storage device that you created. This shows the repositories that are being used on the device.
  2. From the main menu, click Repositories > Add Repository to open the New Repository Properties dialog.
  3. In the Name field, enter a name for the repository.
  4. From the Community drop-down list, select the community that will use this repository.
  5. In the Path field, specify the location of the repository within the storage device. The Full path field is automatically updated to reflect the Path field.
  6. Leave the default check boxes as they are and click Ok to create the repository. The Select Repository Group dialog opens.
  7. Select a repository group to which the new repository will belong to and click Ok. The new repository is listed on the storage device.

To Leverage the File Server

Use a file server storage with replication. In the event of a failure, the UNC (Universal Naming Convention) patch can be re-pointed at the replicated state.

  1. Create a UNC path to the File Server.
  2. Create a folder dedicated to this storage on the File Server.
  3. Use this UNC path to the folder above in the Path field.
